Sweepstake: FAQs about the sweepstake

Conditions of participation

The prize & duration of the sweepstake

Win a 5 m2 storage unit for a whole year every week.

The sweepstake runs from March 1st 2023, 10:00 a.m. to March 28th 2023, 10:00 a.m. Within this period, users have the opportunity to participate in the online sweepstake using the form above.

Who can participate?

Participation in the sweepstake is only possible under the conditions listed here. When participating, the conditions of participation have to be expressly accepted.

Participation in the sweepstake is free of charge, voluntary and does not entail any obligation to buy. Only persons residing in Switzerland who have reached the age of 18 at the beginning of the sweepstake are entitled to participate. Participation on behalf of third parties is not permitted. MyPlace employees and MyPlace customers are excluded from the sweepstake.

The weekly draws

The prize draws for the storage rooms are closed to the public and are guaranteed to be random. Winners will be notified by MyPlace SelfStorage via email or phone call. There is no obligation to accept the prize. If winners do not confirm acceptance of the prize in writing within 7 days, the claim to the prize will be forfeited and a replacement winner will be determined using the same procedure. From confirmation of the prize, the contract must be concluded within 14 days. Otherwise, the claim of the prize is also forfeited. A cash payment, payment in other material assets or an exchange of the prize is not possible. Prizes are not transferable to third parties. Participants can only win once within this sweepstakes.

Contract & Insurance

In case of winning, a contract will be concluded for a free annual rental - which does not include insurance for the stored items of the storage unit. We therefore recommend to make use of an insurance cover for the stored items (up to an amount of CHF 4,000 – or up to a higher amount on request, but no more than the value of the goods stated in the contract) with the insurance contract from MyPlace SelfStorage and Helvetia Versicherung. You can find out more about unit insurance here >

Data Protection

In order to participate in the sweepstake, it is necessary to provide personal data. The participant assures that the personal information provided by him, in particular his first name, last name and e-mail address, is true and correct.

The organizer points out that all personal data of the participant will not be passed on to third parties without their consent, nor will they be allowed to use them.

All information according to the EU General Data Protection Regulation (EU-GDPR)
